Not much interesting today...

Happy 4th all. I played two short sessions today, won on Full Tilt this morning, then this afternoon lost a few bucks on FT but won on Bodog. Not much interesting in the way of hands, pretty standard. But here are a few just to see what you guys think:

By the river it's hard to imagine what I can beat unless he bets a bad ace the whole way or he was bluffing the whole time. Still someone else in the hand as well but I feel I'm getting priced in. I know I played this passively and I hate that but is there any way around that here or is my line okay?

My line okay here or any chance you try a sick value bet?

Hand 1: I would have bet out on the flop. If someone had a better ace than AT they probably would have raised preflop so you're probably good right off the bat but it's not a hand you can have all that much confidence in so bet it out and make them react to you rather than you reacting to them.

Hand 2: I think you might want to bet the turn here. What's he going to call the flop bet with that gets there with a king? Sure some doofi will do that with AK but you can always fold to a raise if you have to. Meanwhile, checking gives a free card to all the things that would call there, clubs, straights, et cetera. And by checking, you give him the chance to steal it from you. If he bets after you check there's some chance you fold right?

Hand 1: I lead out on that flop normally and then play more cautiously if called. You almost have to call each street if you're check-calling but it's hard to put him on a hand as he limped in.

Hand 2: I've started betting these turns as well. The flop is so draw heavy that he could be on a wide range of hands. I like betting this turn and checking behind on the river. Here some players would bet out on the river after you checked the turn, and it's really hard for you to call a bet on that river. No way I value bet the river.

Hand 1

I think I might raise it up pre flop and try to take it down...but as played it is very possible that the opponent has a weaker ace and you could bet out at the flop and take control of the pot. I always like being the aggressor like rasputin said.

hand 2

again I agree with rasputin I think you can bet the turn and probably take it down, but as played the check on the river is fine

Hand 1: I lead the flop here every time and keep betting until I meet resistance.

Hand 2: I play the same way sometimes, although betting the turn is ok. River is an easy check/call.

Hand 1: I'll go with the consensus and say bet the flop. After the flop, you've got one guy who bet into 2 people (not surprising, though given it was checked to him), and an overcaller, of whom I'd be nervous. Perhaps lead the turn to see how people react, at that point. You could even checkraise the flop and lead the turn. As played, though, I think a call on the river is OK.

Hand 2: The board is so drawy that I would bet the turn. On the river, as played, though, I would be value betting (small) on the river. Your opponent wouldn't check a straight after you checked the turn, and he may look you up with a pocket pair, as well. Given it's hard to put you on a hand that made a straight, I'd expect him to at least make a blocking bet with a lot of hands that beat you. If you had bet the turn and he called, it would be a clear check behind on the river.

Hand 1. I agree with everyone. You gotta lead the flop. I don't see anyone limping AQo, AJo, A2o here. I think it's best to find out where you are at in this hand early.

If you get reraised big, u can fold. If they call, u can shut down by check calling.

Hand 2. I agree that you gotta bet the turn because of all the draws. If he calls, ck down the river.
